World TB Day 2011 is just around the corner. March 24th 2011 is the 29th anniversary of this international day of advocacy and action. In light of this fact, and given RESULTS commitment to ending TB deaths worldwide, our March action is going to focus on TB.
Whilst the details of our regular action are being finalised, we would like to announce that we are planning a secondary action for our grassroots next month. We are inviting all of our network to come to Parliament on Thursday March 24th to lobby your constituency MPs face to face on the issue of TB.
We are still finalising the details of the specific ask we want our supporters to make, but we wanted to give you some advance warning that this direct action will be an additional ask for next month’s action, in order to give people time to make arrangements, get time off work etc.
We have some money in our budget to reimburse travel costs for a limited number of our supporters who live outside of London, and this will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. If you would like to register your interest in taking this action, please get in touch with Mariam El Azm. See you there!
