MPs today put several questions about TB in the developing world to Ministers during International Development questions in the House of Commons. Questions came from Andrew George MP, Virendra Sharma MP and Jim Shannon MP.
Andrew George, who is Chair of the APPG on Global TB, asked about the Country Coordinating Mechanisms of the Global Fund and their ability to address HIV-TB co-infection. Virendra Sharma MP, vice-Chair of the APPG on Global TB, asked a question on the revised Global Plan to Stop TB, and Jim Shannon MP asked about measures to tackle TB in Somalia and other fragile states.
