A Paid Volunteering Position With RESULTS!

If you’ve ever wanted to take a couple of months and come work for RESULTS, now is your chance. Last year we were incredibly lucky to be selected as one of the organisations to benefit from the Vodafone World of Difference programme, where a volunteer is funded by the Vodafone Foundation to volunteer at a charity of their choice for a two month period. Over the two months, the Vodafone foundation provides funding to the volunteer so the “volunteer” post is actually paid!

We’re looking for passionate and proactive people to help us to start new RESULTS groups across the UK and to help us build an even stronger network of champions and spokespeople for the end of poverty. You don’t need to be based in London – in fact, we would prefer it if you were not as we need groups in many new places where we don’t already have a presence.

RESULTS is able take on a number of Community Outreach and Engagement volunteers. This is ideal for individuals who are looking to develop skills and experience in community engagement and empowerment, advocacy and media skills, gain knowledge about current international development issues and bring about real changes at a local and global level.

A full description of the role is available to download here: Vodafone World of Difference Programme.

The volunteer who came to work with us last year was Gemma Williams, who wrote all about her experiences here. She was helping us to set up new RESULTS groups in Scotland – getting people along to the first meeting and supporting the new groups as they grew and started to take RESULTS actions.

If you are interested, please do have a read of the position description posted above. If it’s for you, you will have to go to the Vodafone World of Difference website to apply – and they will decide later this year.

Good luck!
