Last night we held our latest focus call on ‘how to leverage the Global Poverty Project in your community’. You can listen to a recording of the call here. We were joined by RESULTS activists from around the country, along with Simon Moss, Manager of the GPP in the UK, and Carrie and Ellis from the Birmingham RESULTS group which hosted a GPP event back in April.
Simon explained that the GPP aims to expand the network of people who regularly take effective action to tackle the problem of global poverty, by raising awareness in communities around the UK and connecting those who become interested in the action to other groups, like RESULTS that can support them to take action. The partnership with the GPP is really an outstanding opportunity for RESULTS groups to reach out to others in their community who they may not otherwise come into contact with.
For those who are interested in finding out more about how to get involved, either by hosting an event or by joining in with an existing event, please do contact us in the office on firstname.lastname@example.org
