Fighting Hunger Together – European Commission exhibition

It is difficult to comprehend the sheer scale of hunger in the world when, according to the World Food Programme (WFP), over 1 billion people go hungry every day. Every six seconds, a child dies of hunger.

In an attempt to try and humanise those statistics there’s an exhibition of photographs at the 12 Star Gallery, based in the European Commission’s offices in London, where you can see how WFP, with the assistance of the European Union and others, goes about giving vital help. Taken by WFP staff, the photographs reveal the personal stories of people delivering and receiving assistance.

The exhibition runs from 20 April to 30 April. All exhibitions at the gallery are open to the public from 10am-6pm, Monday to Friday and entry is free. The Gallery is at 8 Storey’s Gate, London SW1.
