On 17th March, Aaron Oxley, the Executive Director of RESULTS UK will be speaking at the UK’s Microfinance Club. Along with Richard Leftley, CEO of Microensure, Aaron will be presenting “Microinsurance for Health and Agriculture: two new paths out of poverty”. Aaron and Richard will provide insights into how microinsurance can allow people living in poverty to protect themselves from risks including those related to health and climate. Microinsurance is a relatively new area of microfinance but is already demonstrating impact in protecting the world’s poorest people from a range of risks that jeopardise their efforts to climb out of poverty. The Microfinance Club is a forum for UK enthusiasts of microfinance with over 360 members from NGOs, corporates, government, media, universities and the public. The club’s aims are to exchange best practice, raise awareness and share information to help improve the delivery of microfinance to the world’s poor. The meeting is being hosted by Morgan Stanley in Canary Wharf. If you are a member of the Microfinance Club you can register for the event by clicking here. If you can’t attend the Microfinance Club meeting, don’t worry as you’ll be able to learn all about the exciting potential of microinsurance at our National Conference!
