RESULTS London group prepare to teach the ‘Science of Soap’ at the Royal Institution

At the end of last year, RESULTS groups across the UK organised presentations in their community to educate people about the global sanitation crisis and the importance of handwashing as a way of preventing millions of unnecessary deaths. In 2010, our efforts to raise the profile of sanitation continue…

The RESULTS London group have been invited to participate in one of the Royal Institution of Great Britain’s Family Fun days in April. The theme of the day will be ‘Spring Cleaning’ and RESULTS volunteers will be organising a variety of hands-on activities to teach families about the science of soap and the importance of handwashing.

We have also invited Dr Val Curtis – our conference call guest in October 2009 – to deliver a number of short lectures about soap and handwashing throughout the day in the very prestigious FaradayTheatre – the same room that the famous Christmas Lectures are held!

As the date approaches, we’ll post another update with more information about the activities that our London activists have planned.
